To get to the workshop at the Remembrance house, you will need to take the Governor's Island Ferry from the Battery Maritime Building in Lower Manhattan (right next to the Staten Island Ferry). Please make sure you are on a ferry that will get you to Remembrance house at least 15 mins before the workshop starts. We recommend the 11:05 or 11:30 ferry (there is a Joe’s Coffee on the island if you arrive early). The ferry ride takes approximately 8 mins. The ferry is normally $3 but ferries before noon on weekends are free!! Once you disembark, follow signs for Colonel's Row. The Remembrance house is located towards the end of the row at 404B and has an American flag out front. There are restrooms and water bottle re-filing stations located immediately after you get off the ferry and some close by the house for use. Please be advised, there are no restrooms or running water in the house.
